My name is Karun Kulamavalavan, and I was born in Montego Bay, Jamaica. I grew up in Malden, Massachusetts, and graduated from New Rochelle High School in New York. I am currently a finance major on the Pre-Health track at Case Western Reserve University, where I also compete in track and field. I’m passionate about expanding my knowledge of orthopedic medicine through research and hands-on experience. Outside of academics, I enjoy year-round fly fishing and often document my adventures through photography. My connection to nature has instilled a deep sense of patience—an attribute I find translates well into my medical journey. Additionally, my strong commitment to athletics at Case Western Reserve University allows me to better connect to patients dealing with injuries I have personally experienced or seen.
